ABOUT THIS 3 DAY CLINICAL- INTENSIVE SEMINAR
A 6-hour (Day 1) + 18-hour (Day 2-3) training module designed for individuals who wish to teach aquatic therapy in the college, university or post-graduate setting. Includes instruction in both classroom and pool setting. Each candidate will each provide a mock presentation with group critique following. Candidates will then practice instruction/pacing of labs, working in groups, overcoming the not-so-perfect pool, and other difficult elements of teaching in water. Then, candidates will have the opportunity to attend/serve as lab assistants for an Introductory level seminar.
Note: Attendance at this seminar does not necessarily guarantee a slot on ATU's adjunct faculty (although the course does serve as a functional interview). With few notable exceptions, ATU clinical classes are taught by instructors with a Master's- or Doctoral-level education. ATU is always looking for quality instructors for both campus and off-site courses.
